Hong Kong Day 8: My responsible day

Today was spent mostly at work. I felt like a responsible adult. Chelsea and I worked from 9-5. I ran for 40 mins and did my own laundry! Wow I am bored of myself already!! Anywho, Chelsea and I got bagels at this shop in the mall, it was delicious. Then we spent a lot of time refreshing ourselves on matlab and writing a file to solve this Robin boundary equation thing. Then we graphed things varying different variables. We still don’t really know what we are doing, but it was fun to remember matlab and such. We decided to try City University’s cafeteria. It wasn’t very good. I cant seem to really like Chinese food here. It doesn’t help when Chelsea finds hair in her noodles =P I got roasted pork in rice. It was ok I still don’t like having to eat around the bone and sometimes the meat seems bloody or cold and I gross myself out…even though I am sure it is fine. Afterwards I got a bun to eat and Chelsea bought a stuffed baked potato since she barely ate hers. –poor girl!- she gave me a big compliment today, she said that I seem very optimistic. Normally everyone says im pessimistic. She says she is pretty pessimistic so we both decided to be a lil pessimistic and come up with a top three things we don’t like about hong kong. Here they are:
Chelsea’s:
1) The weather (it isn’t sunny only hot! We sweat for no reason
2) The exhaust (as we walk there is a ton of exhaust from cars buses and taxis
3) The food (it is so hard to find Chinese to like)
Amanda’s
1) Time to workout (it is hard to find a good time to work out with the weather)
2) The weather (similar reasons as chelsea)
3) The math project (it is hard and we don’t know what we are supposed to do)

Anywho, we got sandwiches from the grocery for dinner and some lunch making foods. Then we went back to our rooms. Later we went running in the park. I saw lots of people playing soccer –enough that many teams were waiting in the stands to play. It was good playing. I watched for a few minutes after my run. I didn’t see any of my friends though and I wasn’t on one of the teams so I left. Kinnex emailed me and said we will play Thursday or Friday. Later I did my first load of laundry by hand. I did it in the sink with some Chinese brand detergent. I think it went ok? I will find out tomorrow if all my nice tank tops have spots. Anyways overall, not a lot happening here. I think I will go to bed soon.
