Hong Kong Day 36: Happy Fourth Of July!!
Today was the fourth of July. i did not miss it. i hate fireworks. they are overrated. maybe it is because my dad had an accident witha firework and had to go to the hospital when i was young, but i just find fireworks somewhat boring. anywho, it was fun bringing in the holiday with Victor...i got to chat with him on gmail. i miss that guy! anyways i worked hard and then chelsea, Andrea, and I went to "fashion street" this is where the markets get their clothes, we cannot enter the stores but along the roads there are racks and bins with extra clothes that are very inexpensive. i got 2 shirts for 20 hk dollars. they look decent. but i am tired of market type clothes! so i went to festival walk and shopped there. most of the clothes there are too expensive though...i miss my malls at home! but i did find a good pair of long HK style jean shorts. they are kinda pricey, but i like them a lot. i didnt buy them yet ---i will try them on during lunch on thursday and make sure i still like them. the people in the stores are very helpful. one lady kept bringing me more and more pants to try on. also when you ask them what size they think you are...they are nicer and tell you one size that i think is smaller than they really think ---but maybe not the ones they recommended to me usually fit, but is a little tight but the next size was alittle too large...so whatever. anyways then i went running and now i am tired and must go to bed. we have a boat tour tomorrow. weee!
